  •     The library material is available for loan, except for the reference material (encyclopaedias, dictionaries, periodicals) and the rare material which can be studied only in the reading room. The library of the Department of Modern and Contemporary History is housed on the 4th floor (room 401) of the new building of the Philosophy Faculty.
  •     Books and periodicals number approximately 18,500 volumes.
  •     The Library also boasts a significant collection of rare books dated to 1600 onwards.
  •     The Library can be accessed by any citizen, academic or not, if s/he has a library card which is valid for the entire library system of the Aristotle University and can be issued by the Thematic Library of the Philosophy Faculty.
