Dimitris Bacharas

Dimitris Bacharas is a historian who works at the Greek Literary and Historical Archive (ELIA) of the Cultural Foundation of the National Bank (MIET). He has studied in London (MA, King’s College London) and in Paris (PhD, EHESS) and his field of research  focuses on the World War I period, on matters of democracy, fascism, anticommunism and the interwar period, as well as the history of the ‘primates’ of the Peloponnese in the 19th century (“The history of the Roufos-Kanakaris family”, forthcoming). He has participated in conferences abroad and in Greece and his articles have been published in collective volumes and scientific periodicals in France and in Greece.
