Marianna Christopoulos studied history at the Universities of Ioannina and then at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she was awarded with honours her PhD. Her thesis was on the Greek diplomat, John Gennadius (1870-1918). She later obtained from the same University a postdoctoral scholarship. Recently, the Hellenic Parliament Foundation published her monograph on Dimitrios Gounaris’ biography. Her research interests lie in historical biography of the 19th and 20th century, history of ideas and the image of others. She has worked in various research projects and has published articles in renowned journals and in Greek and English collective volumes.
