  • Improving the quality and quantity of scientific research.
The enhancement of the academic prestige and the international recognition of the research work of the AUTH.

The Department of History and Archaeology announces vacancies for M.Sc. positions, which are published on the Department’s website. The announcement specifies the conditions and the deadline for submitting applications, as well as the obligations of the M.Sc. students regarding their participation in research and teaching, the deliverables and the completion of the M.Sc.

The Department accepts applications from interested researchers, which are submitted to the Department’s Secretariat on dates set by the Department’s Assembly. (see model ANNEX A)

The holders of a PhD degree from a Greek higher education institution or a recognized degree from a foreign institution, in a subject related to that of the proposed research project, are eligible to apply for a research project.

The duration of the research project may not be less than 12 months from the start date and not more than 36 months. In exceptional cases, MEIs may request an extension, with supporting documentation.

After the completion of their obligations, a Certificate of Completion of the M.Sc. is issued, indicating the Institution, the Department, the full name, the father’s name, the place of origin of the M.Sc., the subject of the research, as well as the time of the M.Sc. and the name and status of the Supervisor.
